Whether the bag filter operates stably, whether the filter bag is blocked or damaged, and whether the ash removal system functions properly, all depend on the differential pressure data on both sides of the filter bag. The differential pressure transmitter is the core monitoring instrument of the entire dust removal automatic control system. Next, with the Longlv PTL805 digital display differential pressure transmitter, we will clarify the necessity and practical application value of installing a differential pressure transmitter in bag filters.

1、 Real time monitoring of filter bag blockage degree, automatic control of pulse dust cleaning

When the bag is working, dust will adhere to the outer surface of the filter bag to form a layer of ash. The thicker the layer of ash, the higher the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the dust collector, and the system resistance will increase synchronously.

The differential pressure transmitter collects the pressure at both ends of the dust chamber and the clean air chamber, and outputs the real-time pressure difference value to the pulse controller PLC。 When the pressure difference reaches the preset upper limit, automatically start pulse blowing to clear the dust, blow off the accumulated dust in the bag, and let the pressure difference fall back to the normal range; After the pressure difference meets the standard, the cleaning will automatically stop, achieving on-demand cleaning and abandoning the extensive mode of fixed cycle cleaning.

The pressure difference value is a visual signal of dust removal equipment failure, and two abnormal states can quickly distinguish the root cause of the problem:


Continuous high pressure difference

The representative filter bag has serious dust accumulation, stuck bag, insufficient blowing pressure, and blocked blowing pipe. If not dealt with in a timely manner, the resistance of the air duct will increase, the load of the induced draft fan will soar, the power consumption will increase significantly, and in severe cases, the air volume will drop sharply, causing dust to overflow from the production station and exceeding environmental emissions standards.

Sudden significant decrease in pressure difference

Indicating that the filter bag is damaged, the bag opening seal has fallen off, the flower board is leaking air, and dust directly penetrates the bag and is discharged. Obvious smoke and dust can be seen on the chimney, resulting in environmental penalties. PTL805 can be equipped with dual alarms for high and low pressure differences. When the pressure difference exceeds the range, the switch signal triggers an audible and visual alarm, which immediately reminds the machine to stop for maintenance and avoids long-term excessive emissions.


3、 Reduce energy consumption of fans and optimize the operating cost of dust removal systems

The high resistance caused by bag blockage will continue to increase the load on the fan, resulting in a significant increase in power consumption. By relying on PTL805 pressure differential linkage for dust cleaning, the pressure differential is always maintained within the standard range, reducing the ineffective energy consumption of the fan.

Compared with the timed uninterrupted cleaning mode, pressure differential linkage cleaning can reduce the consumption of pulse valves and compressed air, extend the service life of filter bags and pulse valves, reduce spare parts replacement and air source loss, and effectively reduce workshop operation and maintenance costs during long-term operation.

4、 Anticipate equipment hazards and reduce unplanned downtime

By relying on the trend of pressure difference changes, potential faults can be predicted in advance:


The pressure difference rises slowly and steadily: the ash cleaning force is insufficient, so the injection pressure can be increased in advance to shorten the ash cleaning interval;

Rapid increase in pressure difference in a short period of time: high humidity dust sticking bags, excessive moisture content in flue gas, timely adjustment of front-end drying and insulation processes;

Unstable pressure difference fluctuating between high and low: uneven airflow distribution, high ash accumulation in the ash hopper, and early cleaning and discharge of ash.

PTL805 stably outputs a 4-20mA standard signal, and the central control system can record the pressure difference operation curve, making it convenient for operation and maintenance personnel to trace the equipment operation status, achieve preventive maintenance, and reduce sudden shutdown maintenance.

Equipped with a pressure guiding ball valve, it is convenient for online calibration and cleaning of dust in the pressure guiding pipeline in the later stage. The entire installation is simple, and both old and new dust removal equipment can be directly replaced with old-fashioned mechanical differential pressure gauges.
